River Reflections was the first incarnation of my journal to reside at the domain. The title was chosen as part of the wind and water theme, which, at the time, encompassed all of the collective sites. 1 When I made the first design, I was in a phase where all my layouts were on black backgrounds, so it's rather dark. I also started having a sidebar, though that got old rather quickly, and didn't return in the next layout. 2 The second design was created while I was waiting for my computer to be restored from the Chernobyl virus and I didn't have access to the old templates. I decided I might as well create a totally new design. Both layouts were relatively plain, high on design elements rather than graphical ones, and mostly focused on the text. I think they were both largely experimental; the first one with the location of various information, the second with the use of 3D-looking images. |
