By the time I renamed my journal Solipsis, I was starting to get a handle on the whole design thing. My site, too, had "graduated" from being a search for a reality to being the reality of self. (I was still naming it after things I didn't know enough about, though.) In its early days, the design "evolved". Even from day to day the page colors, link text, background, or dividers might change in appearance. I knew about stylesheets, but I didn't use a linked one because I wanted to keep a record of the changes. They finally settled down, however, into what is still one of the sleekest designs I ever came up with. |
