With Sunrise Sunset I deleted the archives in an attempt to "start over". I also experimented with a more controlled way of having entries be different. Thus, the title graphic at the top of the design was changed every day based on my mood, and I built up a small collection of banners using sunrise and sunset photography. The gradient background was fixed and gave the illusion of a sky slowly changing in hue. The title came from the song from Fiddler on the Roof, which describes the passage of time, which you must admit is extremely fitting. I'd always found the song to be extremely evocative, along with a Chinese song approximately called "Dance of Youth", but too much would have been lost in the transition if I had used the latter. |
